TEMPLATE FOR ADJUSTING STITCHES

This template was developed by Deco Cuir to perfectly adjust the spacing between your stitches . It will be very useful for distributing the last stitches evenly and avoiding misalignments (stitches that are too big or too small).
When you only have a few points left to mark with your striking claw, there may be a slight offset (see photo 3 or the video: the claw does not allow you to fall back exactly on the 1st point). The template allows you to adjust the center distance of these last points. The difference in center distance will not be visible to the naked eye!
No more last stitches that are too far apart or too close together: beautiful seams are yours!
Template compatible with center distances between 2.7 mm and 6.4 mm.
Directions for use :
- Mark your stitching points with a punching claw at the center distance of your choice.
- When you only have a few stitches left to make, place the template on your piece of leather. On the template, choose a center distance as close as possible to that of your punching claw and position it on your previously made stitches.
- Mark your last stitches with a scriber (round awl, needle, etc.)
- Remove the template and finish marking your points using a 1-pronged striking claw so that all the points meet.
The little extra : the 4 corners have different roundings (R5, R10, R15 and R20) to create beautiful angles on your leather pieces.

The template comes with a white protective film. This will need to be removed before you can use the template.
