HAND SEWING LEATHER TRAINING

For a day, come learn or improve your skills in saddle stitch sewing.

Date of your choice
Levels: beginner and intermediate. The trainer will adapt to each level.
Materials and tools: provided. If you wish, you can come with your personal equipment to get used to using it.
Location: in the premises of our physical store in Campbon (44) located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique.
Duration: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Training not eligible for the CPF.

The €120 includes registration for the training day and lunch.

Our trainer, Anthony Hervy, is a leather craftsman and works with passion and respect for traditions. He will listen to you and can answer all your questions.

Program :

• Saddle stitch sewing with linen thread: learn to wax the thread with beeswax.
• Gluing the leather edge to edge with water-based contact glue.
• Leather scratching.
• Sewing start and stop: double and saddle stitch.
• Angled stitch: how to have a stitch that falls perfectly in the corner of a piece of leather?
• Curved/rounded seam.
• Double stitching: stitching on both sides of the piece.

In order to cover all the techniques in the program, you will make a vegetable-tanned leather mouse pad (see photo n°2) .

Our store remains accessible during training.

Note : If you add the “paper catalog” (free) to your order in the basket, you will be asked for shipping costs. We advise you to wait until the day of the training to find out.

If the number of participants is insufficient, DECO CUIR reserves the right to cancel the training. Any withdrawal reported at the latest three weeks before the course will not give rise to any refund unless another trainee takes up the place left available.
