The company is located in France between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire (in Campbon exactly).
Today, Deco Cuir is the leading French site for articles for leather working. The company is made up of around thirty employees who work daily to satisfy you. Our customer service is available to advise you in the choice of your items, a leather working guide has also been put in place for beginners and we regularly offer new free tutorials to inspire you.
With more than 9,000 references on our site, you have access to a large choice of articles for all your leather creations. Every month, dozens of new references enrich our offer. Leather working tools mainly come from French, German, American, Italian or Japanese manufacturers. Deco Cuir is THE leather wholesaler with the largest stock of leather sold in strips, laces, skins or in pieces. Our pieces of leather are cut with care in our workshop. To avoid "wasting" this beautiful material, we are committed to recycling all our leather scraps from cutting by offering them for sale.
The majority of our leathers (50 - 60%) essentially come from clearance sales : end-of-series leathers or old collections from major leather goods manufacturers, shoe brands or luxury brands. This is why most of our leathers are offered in limited series and this is also what allows us to offer you affordable prices. Without knowing it, you give a "responsible" side to your creations by helping us to recycle this beautiful material - UPCYCLING.
The other part of our leathers (40 - 50%) is manufactured exclusively for us in order to be able to offer you consistent ranges .
The majority of our leathers are chrome tanned (mineral tanning) to make them very resistant and insensitive to water. We also offer a range of leathers with vegetable tanning: essential for repelling the leather or tinting it.
The majority of our leathers come from French or European tanneries but some can come from further afield. In this case, we ensure that they are of high quality. The origin of all our leathers is mentioned on each invoice.
The history of Deco Cuir:
Created in 2009, the company Deco Cuir was born from an observation and a brilliant idea. During a visit to an automobile upholstery subcontractor, founder Xavier Dugast, noticed that the surplus leather was destroyed. He came up with the idea of giving a second life to these scraps by offering them for sale, online, on a marketplace. More than 15 years later, Deco Cuir is the reference in online leather sales and has the largest e-commerce site and store specializing in leather working.
Deco Cuir is also a physical store where you can find all the items for sale on the site.
