We are organizing a unique 2-day training course at our premises (located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire) with a floral embossing expert: Yves Lesire (saddle maker, trained in the USA). Please note that places are limited 😉
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE TRAINING?
NEXT SESSION: THURSDAY 25 AND FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2025
We invite you to complete the form below if you wish to register for the training. Your registration will be sent directly to the trainer; payment must also be made to the trainer and not on the Deco Cuir website.
PAYMENT
Payment is not made on our site, it must be made directly to the trainer (see the registration form above).
The course reservation will be taken into account by the payment of a deposit (150 € including tax) to be paid upon registration . We reserve the right to refuse a participant if the deposit is not paid. The deadline for payment of the balance is August 31, 2025 for the April training.
CANCELATION
If the number of participants is insufficient, we reserve the right to cancel the training. A new date will then be proposed.
Any cancellation notified at least 1 month before the course will not give rise to any reimbursement unless another trainee takes the place left available.
THE TRAINER
Yves Lesire has been a master craftsman (saddle maker) and certified trainer for several years. Since 2016, he has been a judge at the World Leather Debut in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA.

THE PROGRAM
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
- Creation of the drawing on paper
- Reproduction of the design on leather
- Preparing the humidity of the room to be repelled
- Cutting the outlines of the drawing with a swivel knife
- Using the different embossing tools.
LESSONS & PRACTICAL EXERCISES
- Study of the basics of drawing and the different styles of embossing
- Presentation of the tools
- Techniques for preparing leather for embossing
- Techniques for using the opening knife.
