We are organizing in our premises (located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire) a unique 2-day training course with an expert in floral embossing: Yves Lesire (saddle manufacturers, trained in the USA). Please note that places are limited 😉

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE TRAINING?

NEXT SESSION: APRIL 3 AND 4, 2025
NEW TRAINING (level 2) IN SEPTEMBER 2025

We invite you to complete the form below if you wish to register for the training. Your registration will be sent directly to the trainer, payment must also be made to the trainer and not on the Deco Cuir website.

PAYMENT

Payment is not made on our site, it must be made directly to the trainer (see the registration form above).
The reservation of the course will be taken into account by the payment of a deposit (150 € including tax) to be paid upon registration . We reserve the right to refuse a participant if the deposit is not paid. The deadline for payment of the balance is February 28, 2025 for the April training.

CANCELATION

If the number of participants is insufficient, we reserve the right to cancel the training. A new date will then be proposed.
Any cancellation reported at least 1 month before the course will not give rise to any reimbursement unless another trainee takes the place left available.

THE TRAINER

Yves Lesire has been a master craftsman (saddle maker) and certified trainer for several years. Since 2016 he has been a judge at the World Leather Debut Sheridan Wyoming USA.


DATES April 3 and 4, 2025 September 2025 (to be defined)	PRICE* 300€ for 2 days *Lunch is included in the price of the training.	SCHEDULES From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday (1 hour lunch break)

LEVEL The training is aimed at all levels: beginner, advanced and expert.	MATERIAL All necessary materials for training are provided .

*Training eligible for CPF: make the request directly to the trainer.

THE PROGRAM

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

Making the drawing on paper
Reproduction of the drawing on leather
Preparing the humidity of the room to be repelled
Cut out the outline of the drawing with a swivel knife
Using the different embossing tools.

TEACHINGS & PRACTICAL EXERCISES

Study of the basics of drawing and the different styles of embossing
Presentation of the tools
Techniques for preparing leather for embossing
Techniques on using the opening knife.
