Description
COLLAR BUTTON CUTTER
This punch is machined from solid carbon steel . It creates a round hole with a notch to facilitate the passage of the collar button. The collar button is very practical for closing a bracelet, small leather goods, glasses case, making belt holes or other creations. It can also be used to adjust the size of a strap (to do this, make several holes to be able to adjust the size).
The handle is straight and rectangular. The evacuation holes allow the leather cuttings to be removed easily using a small metal rod (round-tipped needle, round awl, etc.).

Leather Deco Tips :
- We recommend using an ERTALON cutting plate to obtain a clean cut and not damage the edge of the die.
- We recommend using an ERTALON cutting plate to obtain a clean cut and not damage the edge of the die.
- Steel hammers are not recommended. Prefer a wooden or polymer mallet.
- For the collar button to remain securely closed, the hole diameter must be almost identical to the diameter of the collar button hanger (the stem) and smaller than the ball diameter (example: 4mm hole for a T4 collar button with a hanger diameter of 3.8mm and a ball diameter of 6mm). The thickness and flexibility of the leather must also be taken into account when choosing the hole diameter so that it is comfortable to use. A preliminary test on a scrap is always recommended.
