Description

ROUND AWL FOR LEATHER SEWING

This round awl is the fruit of the know-how of a French craftsman who completely rethought the design of an old tool.

By combining aesthetics, ergonomics, precious materials and high technology, Jérôme David offers you a very high quality round awl. The ferrule is made of titanium, its tip is fully polished and does not mark the leather, even if the blade is pushed all the way in.

The handle is ergonomic and will provide you with excellent comfort of use, it has a flat surface which prevents the awl from rolling on your work surface (and falling on the floor).

A round awl is not made to make a hole, but to enlarge a hole or pass the thread of a seam. The shape of the blade has been perfectly studied, it is conical on its first half then cylindrical afterwards (2 mm in diameter)

The handle is available in violet wood or Ceylon lemon wood from sustainable FSC-certified forests. Depending on arrivals, the color of the wood may vary.

Dimensions :
- Total length: 130 mm
- Blade length: 35 mm
- Maximum blade diameter: 2 mm
- Maximum handle diameter: 29 mm

In case of problem, the blade can be changed (sold as a spare part) and is removed thanks to a small TORX No. 6 screw on the side. The handle of this awl is identical to the awl with the Jérôme David leather pliers. You can therefore mount a blade of Excellence 2 mm Jérôme David awl. on this handle to transform it into a diamond awl.
