Give your tools a perfect edge with this compact and practical sharpening maintenance strop! Made in France for Deco Cuir, it is ideal for preserving and maintaining the edge of your strops, awls, pliers, knives, razors and other small cutting tools .
Regular sharpening of your cutting tools, before or after each use, guarantees a clean cut and prolongs the life of your blades. Thanks to its ergonomic beech wood handle, this strop offers an excellent grip for comfortable and precise use. Its hanging hole allows you to easily store it after use.
Directions for use :
- Using a brush, apply a layer of sharpening oil or vegetable oil to one side of the strop. The fluffy texture of the flesh side will better hold the sharpening compound. The flower side will provide a smoother surface that can result in a finer polish.
- Let the oil penetrate for a few minutes.
- Spread a layer of polishing paste (for example: DIALUX ) on the side you have chosen to spread the oil.
- Pass the blade along the grain side, respecting the cutting edge. Make the same number of passes on the front and back of the blade.
- Finish by wiping the blade on the other side of the strop.
