BOOK ON LEATHER SEWING BY HAND

If you want to learn leather sewing on your own, this manual is for you! It presents the different techniques of sewing leather by hand. You will be able to learn (or re-learn) the right gestures of sewing thanks to numerous drawings. 33 images show saddle stitch sewing step by step.

In addition, 26 other drawings give tips for splicing thread or repairing a breakage.

You will find in this book all the techniques:
- to prepare his work (leather and tools)
- sew saddle stitch
- make a seam at a right angle with, as an application exercise, the realization of a box
- how to sew with an awl and curved needles with the sheathing of a round bottle as an application exercise
- all the explanations for the manufacture of a belt from A to Z, the realization of the loop, the sewing of the buckle. There are also many complements offering variants of loops or seams
- the baseball type seam
- the bag handle seam
- and as a bonus, instructions for making your own sewing bench

In this book, the explanations are in English , but the many drawings will allow you to easily understand the instructions. Feel free to use a dictionary!

    Livre en anglais, ce n'est pas gênant. Ce manuel de coutures faites à la main est très bien fait, c'est clair . J'ai adoré le parcourir.

    Livre bien illustré, idéal pour acquérir les bases théoriques de la couture du cuir, avec quelques astuces un peu plus avancées. Lire et exercer les techniques exposées et illustrés mènera sans doute à la maîtrise de la couture du cuir.
