This leather called "nourished" or "fat" was made with more fatty substances than classic leather, which allows it to be more flexible and waterproof, while being more robust.

Through tanning, fulling, "old-fashioned" finishing which has the particularity of bringing out the characteristics specific to the leather (veination, neck wrinkles and defects specific to the life of the animal such as small scars, insect bites, etc.) but these imperfections (in very small number) quickly give way to the authenticity of the leather. Over time, this leather will acquire a patina and become even more beautiful.
