Description
LEATHER MARKING NET - FRENCH NET
This flat net with guide will allow you to create fine decorative lines on your pieces of leather.
Ets Regad has been a French manufacturer of power tools since 1930 for manual finishing operations in leather goods.
Features :
- Attaches to the Regad handle
- Shape: Flat
- Width: Choice
- Wire thickness: 0.3 mm
- Maximum tool height: 67 mm
- Maximum tool width: 15 mm
This tool will be positioned at the edge of your piece of leather (hot stamping technique). The thread will allow you to act as a guide along your piece of leather in order to make a line parallel to your cut.
When used, this net will also smooth the high fibers of the slice.
The appearance of the thread on the leather depends on several parameters, such as the temperature of the tool, the type of leather, and the speed at which the hot tool passes over the leather. We recommend always carrying out tests on scraps of leather to adjust the settings.
Recommendations for use : Regularly check that the heating tool is securely tightened on the handle to prevent oxidation and the creation of an electrical fault between the tool and the handle.
Leather Deco Info : The tips may darken to a greater or lesser extent after a few uses. Residues of edge dye or other finishing products may also remain stuck to your tools. You can clean them by using polishing paste previously placed on a piece of leather and rubbing the warm tool (TH2 to 4) over it. In case of extreme dirt, extra fine steel wool (000) can be used. Be careful not to touch the electrical resistance part to avoid damaging it.
The shape of this tool is more suitable for right-handed people.
Left-handed versions are available to order by emailing us.
Other Regad heated tips are sold separately.
