Description
LEATHER MARKING IRON
Simple leatherworker's threading iron with handle - VERGEZ BLANCHARD.
This tool allows you to make a simple line on the edge of your piece of leather (hot stamping technique).
First, you must heat your blade on a gas stove; this operation must be repeated regularly as the blade cools.
You should use a metal ruler as a guide to make a straight line.
The appearance of the net on the leather depends on several parameters, such as the temperature of the tool, the type of leather, the speed of passage of the hot tool on the leather. It is recommended to adjust its settings on scraps of the same leather before doing it on its realization.
You can also use this tool to burn the fibers that protrude from the edge of the leather after cutting (smooth the edge).
This tool can also be used to reheat the edge dye and thus create a hot finish.
This tool is ambidextrous : it is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people.
