- When using small diameter cookie cutters (less than 4 mm), depending on the leather used (density, thickness, etc.) the leather cutout may tend to get stuck in the channel. evacuation of the tool. To prevent it from becoming seriously clogged, we advise you to remove the cutouts regularly using a small metal rod (round-end needle, round awl, etc.).
- You can also make cutting the tool easier by putting a little beeswax on the edge of the cookie cutter before each use.
Please note : cookie cutter tips have a limited lifespan. With use, they will lose their sharpness. You will therefore have to force more and more to make the cut and they risk breaking.
To increase their lifespan, we advise you to put a martyr between the tip and the brass pile.
