Description
DRY POINT COMPASS FOR TRACING ON LEATHER
The simple compass is one of the leatherworker's essential tools. It is made "in the old-fashioned way", in the greatest French tradition of the Vergez Blanchard house.
Entirely handmade, this forged steel tool is cut from the mass then machined by craftsmen who will adjust these different parts with great precision. It naturally has a certain firmness in order to prevent it from becoming out of adjustment.
This dry point compass will be useful to you for:
- draw your sewing lines parallel to the edge,
- draw embellishment lines or geometric figures on vegetable tanned leather,
- transfer your measurements to your patterns and to your leather.
Dimensions :
- Length of the compass: 19.5 cm
- Maximum distance between the two points: Greater than 30 cm
Deco Cuir Tip : Use a ruler or screwdriver to open the compass for the first time (the first opening is complicated because the compass has just been machined).
