Description
DRY-POINT COMPASS FOR TRACING ON LEATHER
The simple compass is one of the essential tools of the leatherworker. It is made "old-fashioned", in the greatest French tradition of Vergez Blanchard. Entirely handmade, this forged steel tool is cut in the mass then machined by craftsmen who will adjust these different parts with great precision. It naturally has a certain firmness to prevent it from becoming out of order.
This drypoint compass will be useful for:
- draw your seam lines parallel to the edge,
- draw lines of embellishments or geometric figures on vegetable tanned leather,
- transfer your measurements to your patterns and to your leather.
Dimensions:
- Compass length: 19.5 cm
- Maximum distance between the two points: Greater than 30 cm
Professional tool - Made in France by VERGEZ BLANCHARD
Advice: use a ruler or a screwdriver to open the compass for the first time (the first opening is complicated because the compass has just been machined).
