COMPASS TO TRACE ON LEATHER
This compass is one of the leatherworker's essential tools. It is made "the old-fashioned way", in the greatest French tradition of the Vergez Blanchard house.
Entirely handmade, this forged steel tool is cut from the mass then machined by craftsmen who will adjust these different parts with great precision to make it a unique object.
This 1/4 circle compass is equipped with a solid brass locking system which allows it to maintain its setting when using the compass.
This dry point compass will be useful for:
- Position your seams by drawing a regular line parallel to the edge
- Trace embellishment lines or geometric figures on vegetable tanned leather
- Transfer your measurements to your patterns and your leather
