Description

LOOP WITH MEDIEVAL STYLE CLEVIS

Pin buckle with clevis for leather strap up to 20 mm wide .

The shape and the decorative engravings of this buckle recall the style of the Middle Ages . It can be used for suits, belts, small bags and messenger bags , or to adjust the length of straps.

This buckle is made in an artisan workshop in India using traditional manufacturing methods. It has some imperfections such as manufacturing traces which makes each loop unique. This gives it an authentic and aged look. It is ideal for the production of articles of historical inspiration.
It has received a light additional protective film to prevent oxidation of the brass and retain its original color.

So that your creation is more faithful to medieval times, this buckle is fixed with an "old-fashioned" assembly thanks to its 4 fixing lugs and the mating washers provided . The fastening of this buckle is technical and is intended for people accustomed to manual work because it will be necessary to strike hard with the hammer to subdue the rivets.

- Put down the legs with a hammer. The hammering operation must be carried out on a firm work surface (example: Ertalon plate). To avoid damaging the decoration, put a piece of leather between the striking surface and the buckle.
