Learn how to make your own leather belt with a craftsman (and take it home)!
Date of your choice
Duration: 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Price: €70 which includes training and materials for making your leather belt .
Location: in the premises of our physical store in Campbon (44) located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique.
Beginner level: no technical knowledge is required. The belt will be assembled without sewing so that the training is accessible to all. However, the trainer will demonstrate a belt with saddle stitching (if time permits).
Equipment and leather are provided. Training not eligible for CPF.
Our trainer, Anthony Hervy, is a leather craftsman and works with passion and respect for traditions. He will listen to you and be able to answer all your questions.
Program :
- Choose your belt width, vegetable tanned leather strap color, belt buckle finish...
- Define your belt size
- Cut the belt end with a punch or template
- Make the belt holes and a chapure
- Work the slices with a natural product (tokonole)
- Cold threading of leather
- Make the belt loop
- Secure everything with Chicago screws
- Option: personalize your leather belt with cold stamping (word, initials, etc.)
- Nourish and protect your belt with a wax
At the end of the training you will have the opportunity to purchase equipment in our physical store.
Note : If you add the "paper catalog" (free) to your order in the shopping cart, you will be asked for shipping costs. We advise you to wait until the day of the training to find out.
If the number of participants is insufficient, DECO CUIR reserves the right to cancel the training.
Any cancellation notified at least three weeks before the course will not give rise to any reimbursement unless another trainee takes the place left available.
