An awl is a tool used by saddlers, leatherworkers and artisans to pierce leather before sewing.
The blade of this awl is delivered pre-sharpened . It has a diamond shape for piercing leather and sewing saddle stitch. The blade is made from a specifically selected steel, SKD11. It has a high carbon content. It has high hardness and wear resistance.
The rosewood handle has been designed and designed for optimal and pleasant handling. The color and grain of each piece of wood being different, each tool is unique . You will appreciate the shape of the "waterdrop" handle, also called a drop of water. This handle shape allows you to always take the awl in the same way to have a regular cutting angle.
For optimal use, we advise you to regularly sharpen the awl using a strop and sharpening paste.
