An awl is a tool used by saddlers, leatherworkers and artisans to pierce leather before sewing .
The blade of this awl comes pre-sharpened. It has a diamond shape for piercing leather and sewing saddle stitch. The blade is made of hardened steel.
The ebony handle has been designed and designed for optimal and pleasant handling. The color and grain of each piece of wood being different, each tool is unique . You will appreciate the shape of the “fine cone” handle. The awl snuggles nicely in the palm of your hand to be precise.
For optimal use, we advise you to regularly sharpen the awl using a strop and sharpening paste.
