WHAT IS A CONCHO?
DEFINITION :
A concho is a decoration that you can put on your leather creations . Conchos are very popular in American culture: an Amerindian people would be at the origin of this accessory (their creation dates from the 1870s). Etymologically, "concho" comes from the Spanish "concha" which means "shell": one of the first materials used to make the accessory.
Several types of conchos exist: to lace, to rivet and to screw. The conchos are mainly offered in aged silver finish (for a more rock style) but other finishes are increasingly available: aged brass, old copper, nickel-plated...

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONCHOS
CONCHOS TO RIVET
Rivet conchos are fixed with a rivet (usually supplied with the concho) that you must place with a knock handle (ex Seiwa)
Pay attention to the thickness of the leather, it will depend on the length of the concho rod (indicated on the item sheets).
SCREW-IN CONCHOS
The screw-on conchos are simply attached with a screw, which must be screwed in with a flat screwdriver.
Add style to your snaps by attaching a screw-on concho as a cap / head! For this, it is necessary to have a snap adapter for screw-on concho.
CUSTOMIZED SCREW-IN CONCHOS
With the accessory "Concho to personalize - ref. 77091_00", let your creativity run free by creating your own concho: bottle cap, piece, mosaic...
LACE-UP CONCHOS
To put on a concho to lace up, you have to make 2 slits in the leather and pass a strap/leather lace: to put on a jacket, suit, hat...
