DELLA STRETCHED CHOCOLATE CIRCLE BACKING – HIGH PERFORMANCE UPHOLSTERY LEATHER

DELLA chocolate-colored stretched girth straps are made from one-third full-grain, uncorrected, smooth-grained rump leather. Unlike vegetable-tanned leathers, they undergo a chrome mineral tanning process, which produces naturally blue edges, a sign of quality leather and controlled tanning. This tanning process is a key step that gives them increased strength and predictable tensile strength.

In addition, a transparent aniline finish preserves the authentic appearance of the grain. A tallow bath (paraffin + beef fat) deeply nourishes the leather, making it waterproof, easy to work with, and requiring no regular maintenance.

FOR PROFESSIONAL USE IN SADDLERY
These girth straps are designed for the manufacture and restoration of riding saddles (dressage, training, racing). Their very low elongation rate – less than 6% after 1,000 cycles at 75kg – and their breaking strength greater than 360kg (for a width of 25mm) make them ideal for intensive use.
Their structure allows for even distribution of tension, providing comfort for both horse and rider.

LEATHER THAT CARE FOR ITSELF
Thanks to its suet bath nourishment, this leather requires no regular maintenance. The grease naturally rises to the surface to nourish the leather and give it a beautiful patina. If a whitish film appears (thermal shock), simply rub lightly to restore the leather to its original appearance.

ORIGIN AND TRACEABILITY GUARANTEED
The leathers come from cattle raised in France, Germany, Spain, or Italy, selected for the quality of their hides. Traceability is ensured at each stage (receipt, tanning, finishing) via internal marking at the Radermecker tannery.
